Membership of AVOA is open to Nigerians or foreigners who hold resident/working permits. The screening committee must certify their proficiency in any of the areas of specialization.
Application form for membership is available to prospective members on payment of Six Hundred Naira only.
Before admittance into the Association, a member shall pay a registration fee of Three Thousand Naira only.
AVOA membership is determined on three levels: Full Membership, Associate Membership and Honorary Membership.
Full membership
An applicant is eligible for full membership of the Association by virtue of:
- Proven experience spanning a period of at least five years.
- Possession of a University degree or a certificate/diploma in Allied Arts or Social Sciences.
Associate Membership
- The associate membership is designed to help aspirants who have had professional exposure, but are yet to meet the criteria for full membership.
- Associate members may never be upgraded if they fail to meet the criteria for full membership.
Honorary Membership
- Membership at this level is designed for senior veterans and others involved in allied services who wish to be identified with the Association.
- Honorary members may not attend meetings of the Association.
- Honorary members are entitled to the same privileges accorded full membership.
- All decisions taken at General meetings are binding on them.
